Hiphop and R&B Winners at The Grammy's 2023

Hip-hop emerged as the victor at the 2023 Grammy Awards, securing numerous highly sought-after awards. On Sunday, February 5th, the 65th Grammy Awards ceremony took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. This year's event was particularly memorable for hip-hop as the genre swept multiple categories. Before the main broadcast on CBS, several awards were presented during a pre-telecast ceremony.

Kendrick Lamar was one of the night's big winners, earning three Grammy Awards. The rapper from Compton won Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for "The Heart Part 5" from his album "Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers." He also took home the award for Best Rap Album for the same album. Kendrick's three wins bring his total number of Grammy Awards to 17, and he has received 47 nominations throughout his career.
