Putting on your first concert as an musician

After spending all that time making all that beautiful music. You have to ask yourself now. How do I put on a great show for this music of mine. You might be unsure as to how to go about it exactly but the first thing you have to do. Is find a group of like minded individuals who are on the same page as you and also want to do a concert. It can be hard at first, but if you use the power of the internet and social media sites. You will find that group in no time. 

Do a search for artists around your city and slightly outside of it. You will be surprised what you will find when you hit them up. You have to be able to provide value to them. It is also a good idea to find groups of artists that are on the same level as you as well. Same type of music and followers really helps. Some music acts can act to big for their own good. It is a ego centric industry after all. 

Once you have all the groups of people on the same page. What you can do next is find the right venue that will hold your event. Depending on the space, some places will not accompany your genre of music. So check with the owner before hand. 

It is a good idea to also ask about capacity and how you will be doing the tickets for the venue. Early on in your career it is best to leverage the bar to the venue and you can keep the tickets for the door. Usually when you pitch it this way venues will be more than happy to do your event.
